I’m in the hospital! Comment mod will be slow.
2012 19 Jan
When this is posted, I will be in the hospital recovering from more stuff around that broken neck thing. I might update Twitter at some point, but don’t bet on it. Comment moderation and answering comments will be slow. Don’t hate me.
UPDATE: I am out of the hospital and everything went fine! But comment mod will still be slow because I have no inclination to do anything but take Vicodin and sleep for many days.
In the meantime, I encourage you to enjoy this Twitter screencap, which brought me close to tears of mildly-bitter and ironic laughter:

That is a hilarious (in a somewhat bitter and dark way) screencap.
Best wishes re: neck fixing, hope you’re back up and at ‘em soon.
Good luck in the hospital, and my wishes for a speedy and full recovery.
Glad to hear that the surgery went as expected.
A song, to help you sleep, and wish you back, and well.
Hospital? Don’t even worry about comment modding. We won’t hate you. Pinky swear.
You get better very soon. And keep laughing. That’s the best medicine.

I wander what your opinion is on this recent article on Salon.com
http://www.salon.com/2012/01/29/real_abuse_in_bdsm/singleton/
It basically argues that there is in fact abuse occurring in the BDSM community but when it happens it written off as bad communication from the bottom/sub.
I know that you’ve said a lot how there are lots of methods to ensure consent within the community so I wander what you think of this since you seem to be an open minded person.
Consider the F@cial abuse website. I’ve seen enough of their stuff to be very concerned about the legitimacy of their work. I haven’t seen much outright criticism though and for all I know it’s not the most shocking stuff(and if that’s the case consider that) out there but if your looking for anything beyond vanilla on porn tube sites you will always see links to their stuff.
Here is a link from someone who claims to have had a bad experience with them. http://pastebin.com/Ajjgp9Je Is this Public Relations? Is that real? If it’s not real does that discount the experiences of others who have been to their set?
Thanks everyone. I’m doing better, though it will obviously still be a while before I’m really up and at ‘em.
@Quadruple A — Although I work towards sexual freedom, I acknowledge that abuse can be a problem in BDSM and porn, the way it can be a problem in any community. I am really appalled by the link you offered from the Facial Abuse website; but I’m sure that the porn actress is telling the truth about her experience. My heart goes out to her.
